Cellulite is a frustrating and unsightly condition which affects up to 90 per cent of women. It can adversely affect a woman’s self-esteem making them self-conscious of their appearance and body image. Those that have the condition often go to great lengths to cover up their problem area which means they have tremendous difficulty going to the beach or wearing revealing clothing. The millions of dollars a year which is spent on trying to solve cellulite just shows how many women find this condition embarrassing and difficult.
There are literally hundreds of cellulite treatments on the market today. Often the companies that produces these treatments claim that they can reduce cellulite in a matter of a few days. What many women don’t realize is that cellulite reduction can take weeks and sometimes months, depending on the severity of the problem. This means you need to be careful when evaluating a cellulite treatment.
A common mistake is to rely on just one cellulite treatment. The best results are obtained by using two or more treatments at the same time. That way you gain the effectiveness of more than just one treatment targeting the different causes and symptoms of the cellulite. Probably the best method using this idea is to use diet and exercise in conjunction with cellulite cream and massage.
Exercise will help you burn away the fat from beneath the skin and increase your lean muscle mass. It is best that you use exercise machines that get your heart rate pumping but also work out those muscles that surround your cellulite. Make sure you change these exercises every now and then to avoid getting bored and workout for at least 30 mins a day.
Eating better foods is great in theory but difficult in practice. Unfortunately, the reality is if you want to lose cellulite you will need change your diet. Start by cutting out all those bad foods like sweets, caffeine, sugar, fat, salt and fast food. Start eating more fresh fruit, lean meat and vegetables.
Massaging cellulite cream into the problem areas does two things. The cream will help you to burn fat and keep the skin hydrated so that it is resistant to dimpling. The massaging targets the actual fat to soften it up and smooths out the skin of all its dimples. Toxins are also released from the fat and are then removed from the system through the blood stream.
Which cream to buy? There are literally hundreds to choose from but you need to find one which has active ingredients that are known to help cellulite removal. You will need to massage the cream into the skin twice daily with most products.

Cellulite what is it and how can you get rid of it?
In contrast to natural beauty, cellulite is ugly and it tends to accumulate on thighs, around the knees, on hips and buttocks. Cellulite is the result of abuse more than age, the very opposite of natural beauty which is accomplished by self-awareness and self-care. Cellulite can affect women of normal weight, indeed even thin women are often troubled by cellulite. Cellulite takes time to appear and a long time to repair.
The French, who implied it was a special sort of fat that you must treat in a special way, invented the word cellulite. But cellulite is ordinary fat that is waterlogged. The best way to get rid of it is to promote your natural beauty through diet accompanied by exercise, and by controlling fluid retention.
Cellulite is caused by many things that hinder natural beauty, bad circulation and retention of fluid, the latter being the reason why the skin looks puffy, dimpled and soggy. Cellulite is also a sign of lack of exercise and a diet too full of the sugar and starch carbohydrates. Fighting cellulite is a two-pronged attack because the very things that reduce cellulite enhance natural beauty.
Some doctors believe an excessive secretion of oestradiol (female hormone) causes cellulite and it would seem logical that there could be a counter-balancing treatment. But at present cellulite is helped only by physical means self-care, natural beauty procedures and salon treatment. Try the following with daily regularity the only way to get good results, increase your natural beauty and rid yourself of cellulite:
Diet: Cut back on fats, sugars and starches: concentrate on high protein meats, green leafy vegetables, salads and fruit. Eat plenty of cucumber, first and foremost a diuretic food which helps to firm tissues. Every day eat cucumber salad finely sliced complete with skin and mixed with a little olive oil, garlic, lemon juice and parsley (to counteract the smell of garlic).
Exercise: Walking and swimming are ideal for fighting cellulite, so is bicycling whether the real thing or simulating the movements by lying on your back supporting hips with hands and cycling in the air. Walk around the house doing the goose-step you’ll feel the inner thigh muscle working hard to keep your leg in a straight line.
Applications: Try massaging anti-cellulite creams into your skin (see below for method) but it is usually the movement more than the cream that aids the area.

Nearly everyone has or will have trouble with cellulite at some point in their lives. As people get older, the chance of developing this condition increases. This is largely due to the fact that the skin tissue thins and softens over time.
It is not like ordinary fat tissue, but is lumpier and harder, and it is generally caused by fluids or toxins trapped under the skin. Because so many people suffer from it, the question of whether or not it is possible to get rid of cellulite has been raised.
Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to completely rid the body of it. However, to rid the body of cellulite to some degree, there are two main approaches available. The first approach is through external methods. There are many different ways to treat it externally, such as with a topical cellulite cream or cellulite gel, and with body wraps.
However, most results from the use of topical creams and lotions are temporary, due to the fact that they cannot penetrate under the skin. There are also surgical methods that are used to reduce it with varying degrees of success. Liposuction and other surgical treatments are sometimes used to treat cellulite through some of the most advanced skincare methods.
The second approach used to partially eliminate it is through diet and exercise. It seems rather obvious, but the people who consistently exercise and eat healthy foods have less fat on their bodies. Diet and exercise are the most effective long-term treatments to get rid of cellulite. The main thing to remember when trying to eat healthy is to use common sense.
Drink lots of water, avoid fried foods, stop drinking caffeine, eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, and make other smart diet choices. Try to stay as close to fresh as you can in your diet. Exercise also plays a vital roll in cellulite control.
Cardio exercises are important, but some of the most effective methods used to treat this condition are through weight training and yoga exercises. These exercises and smart diet choices will help in its reduction naturally over time.
Because it is so widespread, keeping a sensible mindset about it is important. It is nearly impossible to get rid of cellulite completely, even with all the treatment methods. The most important thing is that you feel good about yourself.
If you feel like you could do more to improve the appearance of your cellulite, then go ahead and treat it. However, if you feel that you are already living a healthy life, then don’t worry about it. It is unlikely that others really notice it.

Cellulite! Myth or Fiction. Speak to the beauty industry and they say it is treatable. Speak to the medical fraternity and they explain it away that there is no such thing as cellulite – it is just the way in which fat is stored by your body – naturally!
Either way however, women all over the world are prepared to part with some serious cash to “make it disappear”. So whats the hot goss on getting rid of the ‘C’ word?
Exercise, clean living and plenty of rest? or maybe some of the magic creams that profess to “make cellulite dissappear in 60 days”.
Lets think about this for a while. If you eat right and exercise, then you loose fat all over your body. Through exercise and diet, these “problem areas” become more toned, and with the toning, comes the wonderful transformation. It is just not the easy fix.
In addition to performing the above routine, if you have a regular massage, it improves the blood flow and circulation through your body and once again this is known to have a theraputic effect, assisting with toning the body. The acknowledgement of regular massage as a portion of your overall treatment plan is supported by the effects seen through the use of cellulite creams. If you rub the creams into your trouble spots each night, you are going to see an improvement because you are massaging the area, which then releases toxins and helps with the condition of the skin and so forth.
So you want to get rid of cellulite? Quite frankly, exercise, eat right, sleep right, get a regular massage, drink lots of water and limit your caffiene intake and you will start seeing miracles. Just don’t expect it all to disappear as there is no miracle cure – short of liposuction that is….
