Best exercises to get rid of cellulite

Cellulite is just collections of fat cells. Unfortunately, there is no way to get rid of cellulite that does not involve hard work! That does not mean, however, that it is impossible. It does mean that it will require discipline, time, and a good attitude.

An exercise program is not the only necessity for eliminating excess cellulite. Diet is an essential part of the equation, too. The first step should be to begin keeping a diet diary where every meal, snack, or drink that crosses the lips is written down. Then, find a good calorie chart on the internet and record how many calories are included in each food. The average woman should intake 1500-1700 calories per day, and the average male should consume around 2200 calories.

The bottom line for losing weight is to consume fewer calories, over a period of time, than you burn. A good rule of thumb is to aim for a pound of weight loss per week. This means that to lose one pound of fat, about 3500 more calories need to be burned than taken in. Obviously, this will require not just diet OR exercise, but both.

Cardiovascular workouts are great ways to burn large numbers of calories, strengthen the heart, lower blood pressure and cholesterol, and build stamina. These workouts will contribute to “all over” weight loss, including fat that surrounds organs in the abdominal cavity. After checking with your doctor, it is best to start slowly. If you have not exercised recently, begin by walking on the treadmill or on the elliptical for about 20 or 25 minutes. You should walk fast enough, with enough of an incline or resistance to be able to carry on a conversation with a bit of a challenge. Do this at least 4 times per week.

In order to burn fat, you must build muscle. Muscles burn more at rest than fat, which means that if you gain muscle, it burns calories by just being there instead of fat! What a deal! To build muscle means that you must also do strength training. This involves the use of free weights or machines. It is best to begin with the larger muscles such as the legs, abdominal muscles, back, and then the arms. Your local gym should have someone who can show you which weights to use and how to properly use them. A good start is to do 15 minutes of strength training along with your cardio workout.

As your stamina increases, increase your time and your resistance for cardiovascular activity. Increase the weight lifted and the number of repetitions for strength training.

Now, if you do not have a gym membership, do not panic. You can get the same benefits by walking around your neighborhood and buying some inexpensive dumbbells. Add some situps and pushups and you will be on your way to burning away that cellulite.

Tips On Excerises To Get Rid Of Cellulite

Of all the difficult things in life losing weight and eliminating cellulite are among the toughest. We all know that we should get more exercise, but it’s easier said than done. Here are some tips on exercises to get rid of cellulite that can prepare you in setting up a plan of action.

Before you start any type of exercise routine, it only makes sense to have a plan on what you want to accomplish, as well as how you’re going to do it. It doesn’t matter if it’s for removing excess cellulite, or saving money. We always need to lay out a strategy to accomplish our goals.

Take a moment and consider some of these areas first.

1. How is my current health? If you have medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, etc., then you should speak with your health care provider before starting on any exercise plan.

2. Write out your goals. Don’t just say your goal is to lose some weight or take off some excess cellulite. Be more specific.

3. Any exercises to get rid of cellulite should include methods to build muscle in addition to losing the excess flab. You want a good cardio workout, but you also want to build permanent muscle.

Is there a single best exercise to get rid of cellulite? In a nutshell; no, there isn’t. A good mix of body-toning exercises along with cardio is ideal. Not only will you improve your health, but you’ll get the relief you’re badly seeking.

Another tip is to have some variety in your program. If you only do one type of exercise, whether it’s weightlifting, treadmill, etc. you’ll eventually get bored and quit. But, if you include several different types of exercises you’re more likely to stick with it. And don’t forget to have some fun with it.

Of course, with any exercise plan comes the need to eat a little better as well. By combining diet and exercise together, eliminating cellulite becomes much easier.

Understand that with any exercises to get rid of cellulite, it’s still going to take a little time for it to work, but if you stick with it you will accomplish your goals.

Get Rid of Cellulite Quickly and Effectively

So you want to get rid of cellulite. You want a lovely, smooth body, free from all those lumps and bumps which cellulite causes? Cellulite is caused by a change to the fat stored immediately under the skin, which causes it to form into little lumps which give the characteristic orange peel effect to the skin. This is a great exercise, which not only reduces the amount of this fat and helps you to get rid of cellulite, but also gives a smoother appearance to your skin and can be used by both men and women!

The way to get rid of cellulite is to reduce the excess fat under the skin to a minimum. The exercise to achieve this requires some equipment. You have to be able to lie comfortably down on your stomach. You can get rid of cellulite with a good leg extension while lying on your stomach, so a low table, bench or even hard bed will do; something you can lie on with your legs overhanging the end.

You will also need a set of dumbbells from around 10 to 30 lb. You will start with the lower weight and work up to the higher. You can start lower than 10 if you must, but since it’s a hard form of fat, you won’t get rid of cellulite without some effort.

Lie down flat on your stomach, with your legs overhanging the bench or bed (knees at the edge). Hold the weights between the arches of both feet (get someone to help position them if you can), then raise you feet as high as you can, bending at the knees. You can rest on your elbows if this helps. Drop the feet again as low as possible and repeat. The number of repetitions is up to you, but a good starting point would be 10 repetitions, rest 5 minutes, then another 10. The quicker you want to get rid of cellulite, the more repetitions you should carry out.

Once it gets easier, switch to two sets of 20 repetitions. Once you are able to do this with ease, change to a higher weight. You should work at this over time until you are able to carry out 30 repetitions with the 30 lb weight. You will be able to get rid of cellulite in no time, and your legs will be much stronger.

As you increase the weight above around 15lb, you should protect your ankles. The exercises can be carried out wearing ankle socks, but shoes or trainers will be necessary as protection with the higher weights. This will avoid both abrasion and possible injury if the weights slip. It will also be essential to have someone available to position the heavier weights between your feet.

Once you become experienced with this exercise, you can also pick up the weights with your hands, and raise both arms and legs with the weights. This will not only enable you get rid of cellulite, but will strengthen your leg, arm and back muscles. Do not attempt these exercises if you have any back problems.

Keep this up for about 15 minutes a day for a couple of weeks, and you will find your legs becoming smoother, and the cellulite disappearing. The exercise is designed to get rid of cellulite and is extremely effective.

Best exercises to get rid of cellulite – Part 1

Women are cursed with bodies that store fat quite efficiently. The unsightly result of this fat storage is often a dimpled and bumpy appearance of cellulite on the thighs, hips, and buttocks. Cellulite is simply a fancy name for fat deposits under the skin. Tackling cellulite requires some perseverance in your exercise regimen and diet to see noticeable results.

Diet is everything

The mantra of eating well cannot be emphasized enough. If cellulite plagues your body, you need to focus first on a proper diet. Lean proteins, plenty of vegetables and fruits, and limiting fat intake is the only way to prevent adding to your fat stores.

A healthy diet works in conjunction with an appropriate exercise regimen to burn the excess fat from your body. Consume plenty of water to help hydrate your body and flush your system, every day, all day.

Why exercise?

Exercise stimulates circulation of fluids throughout the body that results in, you guessed it, more effective fat burning. The best exercise routine combines a cardio workout with target exercises for strength training. All exercise is beneficial for reducing cellulite. Remember that although you might not see immediate lessening in the dimpling of the skin, keep at it. You are burning fat and toning the muscles under the fat. Slow and steady wins the race and in this case, gets the best results.

Cardiovascular Exercise

Always begin every workout, even simple toning exercises, with a warm up. Warm ups prepare your body and heart for stimulation, warming up the muscles to make them more responsive to your workout.

Regular walking, jogging, swimming, or biking is an excellent way to ramp up the body to fight cellulite. Rhythmic and repetitive movement stimulates the muscles and challenges each muscle in sustained movement. Cardio workouts should be part of your regular exercise regimen so commit to exercising 3-5 times a week. The recipe is quite simple. Burn fat with regular exercise and you’ll burn cellulite. And you’ll prevent more cellulite from forming on your hips, thighs, and legs.

Target exercises

Forward lunges-Stand with feet shoulder width apart, head facing forward and shoulders relaxed with hands at the sides. Take a step forward with one foot, firmly planting it on the floor as you bend your knee until your thigh is parallel to the floor. Straighten your bent leg and repeat the movement. Tuck in your tummy, keep your back straight and your body relaxed. You should aim to complete

How to prevent and get rid of cellulite – Part 6

(What is Cellulite?)

Cellulite is when the body fails to extract the toxins, water and fat from the body, which causes a rippled effect on the skin. Cellulite is a very common condition that occurs with both men and women. The areas that are most effective are the limbs, stomach and pelvic areas. Hormones play a huge part in the formation of cellulite. Estrogen is the most important hormones which seem to aggravate cellulite.

(Causes of Cellulite)

There are a number of causes that develop cellulite. Some believe that cellulite only occurs when the body gains weight and then vastly loses it, this is not true. Here are a few examples of the causes:

Lack of Exercise Not only does exercising decrease your health risk and overall well being but also sweating is vital in helping the skin break down any blocked tissue.

Smoking we know that smoke is unhealthy and life treating but also contributes to cellulite blocking the capillaries, where blood, oxygen and other nutrients flow. This is how the ripple or dimple effect is caused.

Lack of Water it is suggested that we drink 3 pints of water a day to flush out toxins.

Poor Diet without a balanced diet, “fatty” foods can get stuck behind the fat tissues.

Heredity I’m afraid it’s true, cellulite is hereditary but can be prevent if you know how to prevent cellulite forming.

(Cellulite Cures/Treatment/Products)

There are a lot of high quality anti-cellulite creams and lotion on the Market today which can be very costly and time absorbing. Don’t be fool by “remarkable brand new cream NEVER BEEN SEEN” lotions. At the most, it just creates a temporary smooth layer.

To cure the dimple or ripple effect on the areas which have cellulite, look for creams which contain Aminophylline and Theophylline. When this is applied to the skin, it allows the surrounding muscles to relax, thus allow the skin to breath and release toxins and excess water.

Try and avoid products that contain caffeine. Again this does not cure or prevent cellulite it is not a “quick fix scheme”. There has been no research to prove caffeine reduce or cure cellulite nor has it been proven that it is needed in lotions and creams.

My partner uses skincare products that contain Alpha Hydroxy Acids. (Note: She is a size 10 and she also has cellulite) AHA is commonly found in fruits like apples, grapes apricots even sour milk. This can alleviate dead cells and speed up the process of cell turnover.

If you work out a lot, eat and drink right but you still have cellulite, then it might be the clothes you are wearing. Avoid tight clothing which restricts air getting in and out of the skin. If some fabrics are unknown to you then avoid them also.

Massages are good and effective, don’t expect results as excess forces on the skin can damage the capillaries which, yes, can cause cellulite.

Remember -

- You don’t have to be overweight to have cellulite.

- Cellulite is a build up of fat, its fat that has been damaged.

- Healthy diet will improve your overall look as well as cellulite prevention

- Exercise at least 3 times a week.

- Drink lots of water.

Can We Really Get Rid Of Cellulite?

It has been the bane of every women’s existence since the dawn of time – the affliction known as cellulite. We all have it to varying degrees, and it seems to get worse as we get older in many cases. So, should we just resign ourselves to the fact that it is here to stay, or is there a way to fight and get rid of cellulite?

Thankfully, the answer is yes, we can fight cellulite, or at least the appearance of cellulite, through several therapeutic treatments that are available on the market today. It is not, however, a one-time deal. Once you stop the treatments, the cellulite will inevitably return. So, the treatment of cellulite is an ongoing commitment, and it should be incorporated as part of your daily beauty regimen for consistent and lasting reduction in it’s appearance.

Some of the over-the-counter cellulite treatments actually do quite a good job of significantly reducing the appearance of cellulite (for reviews of the best products see http://www.cosmeticsgalore.com/best-cosmetics-online-reviews.html ). In order to achieve maximum effectiveness with these products, it is imperative that you massage the affected areas vigorously for a few minutes when applying the treatment. In addition to the smoothing and tightening ingredients in the treatment, the massaging stimulates circulation and helps break the collagen bands that have constricted and resulted in the “puckered” look of the affected areas. The most effective ingredients, and what gives these products their smoothing effects, are caffeine and aminophylline. Many also add seaweed extract as well, but this is not the most effective ingredient in the product.

In addition to the cellulite creams, lotions and gels, there is a procedure called endermology that has many women reporting extraordinary results. It is actually a large mechanical pressure device that uses a technique similar to the process of a rolling pin rolling out dough to make cookies. This action kneads the problem areas with substantial pressure to break down the aforementioned collagen bands, and smooth the sponginess and puckering out for an even and toned appearance. Drawbacks are it is expensive and does require return visits for maintenance, it can be an uncomfortable and even slightly painful process, and it may result in some temporary bruising.

Another option is oral herbal or medicinal remedies for cellulite. Beware though. There have not been significant studies or proof verifying whether these products actually produce results. I cannot recommend investing in or experimenting with these newer products until substantial findings or proof are published regarding their effectiveness.

So, what else causes cellulite? This question is still the subject of scientific debate. We definitely know that it mostly affects women, so there is much speculation that the underlying cause is hormonal in nature. Many other studies suggest it is related to age, diet, genetics, and fitness/level of activity. It has been noted that strength and toning exercises, as well as steady weight maintenance will help with the appearance of cellulite. Frequent weight fluctuation, high fat diets, and even excessive carbonated beverages have been some of the suspected culprits as well.

Whatever the cause, if you want to minimize these unsightly dimples, there are options out there for you that are effective and affordable. New breakthroughs are being made every day in the field of cosmetic enhancement products, so we may soon see another product that blows them all away. It may be tomorrow, for all we know!

Get rid of cellulite! – Part 3

CELLULITE SOLUTIONS – YOU CAN COUNT ON….

OBSESSING OVER CELLULITE? – “STOP” AND START DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

Got Cellulite? You’re not alone: Most women experience the telltale dimpling on their thights and butts regarless of body shape or size; even those with the lowest body fat aren’t free of it. Genetics plays a role too: If your mom has it, chances are you will too.

Lifestyle factors, such as whether you smoke, exercise regularly and expose your skin to the sun also contribute – and while there’s nothing that can totally erase cellulite, there are plenty of ways you can minimize the look now and prevent it from getting worse. (although I do believe depending on age and dedication to diet and excercise you can get rid of it).

WHAT IS IT? – The epidermis (top layer of skin) is connected to underlying myscle by bands of fibrous tissue. Cellulite appears when fat cells bulge up against the epidermis while the fibrous bands pull down, much like the buttons on a mattress. this creates the “cottage cheese” look. Over time, your skin thins and becomes less elastic, and the dimpled look becomes even more obvious. Our bodies’ lymph system also plays a role: Normally it drains fluid from tissue to rid the body of waste, but the fibrous tissue and trapped fat cells can block drainage. The trapped fluid can make the skin swell, adding to the dimpled look. Nothing can totally erase cellulite, but we can try to reduce it to a minimum.

First – You need to eat right. If you’re overwieight, reducing body fat will lessen cellulite’s look. Consume plenty of fruits and vegetables and choose lean meats and fish.. Also, watch salt intake and drink water throughout the day to minimize fluid retention.

Second – Excercise is key. – Tone those leg muscles. muscle will make your legs and butt look smoother and firmer. Try strength training 3 times a week, and focus on these five common leg and butt moves:

Leg Presses (to tone quadriceps, hamstrings, and butt

Leg Extentions (to tone quadriceps)

Leg Curls (for hamstrings)

Hip Adduction (for inner thighs)

Hip Abduction (for outer thighs)

I also suggest 30 to 45 minutes of cardio a day on the eliptical (preferrably in the morning)

Allow approximately 60 days to see real results. – dedication and loyalty to yourself is the key.

Diet And Exercise To Get Rid Of Cellulite

Cellulite is a frustrating and unsightly condition which affects up to 90 per cent of women. It can adversely affect a woman’s self-esteem making them self-conscious of their appearance and body image. Those that have the condition often go to great lengths to cover up their problem area which means they have tremendous difficulty going to the beach or wearing revealing clothing. The millions of dollars a year which is spent on trying to solve cellulite just shows how many women find this condition embarrassing and difficult.
There are literally hundreds of cellulite treatments on the market today. Often the companies that produces these treatments claim that they can reduce cellulite in a matter of a few days. What many women don’t realize is that cellulite reduction can take weeks and sometimes months, depending on the severity of the problem. This means you need to be careful when evaluating a cellulite treatment.

A common mistake is to rely on just one cellulite treatment. The best results are obtained by using two or more treatments at the same time. That way you gain the effectiveness of more than just one treatment targeting the different causes and symptoms of the cellulite. Probably the best method using this idea is to use diet and exercise in conjunction with cellulite cream and massage.
Exercise will help you burn away the fat from beneath the skin and increase your lean muscle mass. It is best that you use exercise machines that get your heart rate pumping but also work out those muscles that surround your cellulite. Make sure you change these exercises every now and then to avoid getting bored and workout for at least 30 mins a day.
Eating better foods is great in theory but difficult in practice. Unfortunately, the reality is if you want to lose cellulite you will need change your diet. Start by cutting out all those bad foods like sweets, caffeine, sugar, fat, salt and fast food. Start eating more fresh fruit, lean meat and vegetables.
Massaging cellulite cream into the problem areas does two things. The cream will help you to burn fat and keep the skin hydrated so that it is resistant to dimpling. The massaging targets the actual fat to soften it up and smooths out the skin of all its dimples. Toxins are also released from the fat and are then removed from the system through the blood stream.
Which cream to buy? There are literally hundreds to choose from but you need to find one which has active ingredients that are known to help cellulite removal. You will need to massage the cream into the skin twice daily with most products.
